Christmas Day Makeup Look

I thought I would do this talk through tutorial just because I am very happy for the festive period. I love Christmas and everything about it. I used to love it for the presents and seeing my family, now as a 22 year old I am just happy for it for 2 whole weeks off work. Over the whole festive period there will be one place to find me and that place shall be my bed!

Without further ado let’s get started…

Prep and prime the skin. I like to use the Nars Pro Prime, it keeps me looking matte and smooth all day long.

Foundation I want something that is going to make my face look smooth and like porcelain, I want to look like a china doll I want my skin to look that flawless. So I am going to use the Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation. This is perfecting, feels amazing on and super pigmented!

Then I am going in underneath the eyes using my MAC Full Coverage Foundation. I am going to take it on a Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Brush and go in all the normal highlighting places, triangle under the eyes, down the nose, brow bone, cupids bow, chin, above the jawline and forehead.

Then I will blend that in using a damp Beauty Blender.

For contouring I am going to take the same product The MAC Full Coverage Foundation in NW50 on a different Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate brush and go in the hallows of the cheeks, down the sides of the nose, parameters of the head and jawline. Then I take my Tom Ford Cream Foundation Brush and lightly blend it in.

Next I’m going to go in with my favourite loose powder which is the Laura Mercier Translucent. I use a damp Beauty Blender to apply it under the eyes and a Real Techniques Powder Brush to apply it everywhere else.

For brows I am just going to do my normal thing of Anastasia brow powder. Just fill the brows in like normal.

For eyes I am just going to take my Sigma E45 large blending brush with my MAC charcoal brown shadow and go in the crease. Then taking my Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner I am just going to do a winged eyeliner. Loads of mascara, I am using the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Then I am going to apply my personalised Ardell lashes.

Then I am going to go in lightly with MAC bronzer on a large Real Techniques Blush Brush to bring some dimension back to the face.

Then the last thing is the lips. I want big and bold so I am going to go in with MAC Ruby Woo Lip Liner and MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick.

  2. Ah I love your picks here. I have the MAC Full Coverage foundation, I really must start using it again as it has an amazing finish yet doesn't feel heavy at all!

    1. That's why I love it so much!
I have been liking mixing it in with some moisturiser to sheer it out, really nice for when I don't want a heavy coverage!
