Black ASOS Cape

I call this my Dementor cape purely because it is long swishy and black and it makes me feel like a character from Harry Potter.

I can remember when I was a little girl and I had a sleepover at my uncles. He used to lend me before he had just own kids to do childish stuff with. But I can remember the following morning when I was getting ready his girlfriend was there and she had a cape similar to this that wrapped the whole way around her and she threw it over her shoulder and it just looked so glamorous. I was about 5 when I saw that and it has stayed with me my whole life.

So, when I got to the age I am and I saw this on ASOS I thought it was about time that I recreated the look! I bought this and how I like to wear it is I drape it over my shoulders then I take one of the sides and throw it over the shoulder. Then to secure it in place I grab my Chanel brooch and push it through to stop it falling off.

I have worn this just with a t-shirt underneath or over a coat and it always makes any outfit just look finished and polished. But it keeps you nice and warm. It can even be wrapped around like a proper scarf and it is nice and cosy because it is so big.

I will link to the same below or something similar…

  2. I love a big cosy cape to snuggle under in winter - it's like a acceptable way to wear a blanket outside!
