Beauty Blender Review

I have to be honest here and say that I use and abuse my Beauty Blender to within an inch of its life, to the point where I feel sorry for them. I have such a heavy hand, even when I write the sound of the pen on the paper is like it is being carved. I can’t help it, and I am the same with my makeup application. Sometimes when I am bouncing the Beauty Blender on my face I don’t realise but I am being so heavy handed it’s like I’m being punched.

But anyway I have to admit that I love these makeup sponges. I have so many of them. I buy them off Amazon but I know that lots of places sell them because they are so popular. They are a little cheaper on Amazon, only a couple pounds, I know it doesn’t really make a difference, but with how many of them I get through it does make a difference!

I use these Beauty Blenders for absolutely everything, foundation, concealer, contouring, powder and blending. It just works so well for everything.

I find that when I use this for foundation application it gives such a flawless finish. I would say that quite a bit of product is lost as it is absorbed into the sponge which isn’t great. I would also say that it seems to sheer out the foundation, which I like about it. Like this paired with my Chanel Perfection Lumier Foundation gives a really great finish.

I always use this damp, I haven’t tried it when it is dry out of the packet. To me they seem a little hard and rough then they are dry. But when they are damp and they expand they are so nice and soft on the skin.

I use dabbing motions on the skin and bounce it up and down. I never drag the product over my skin using the Beauty Blender. I hate dragging anything over the skin, I know I am only 21 but I always think about preventing wrinkles and this is great for that!

My favourite way to use this Beauty Blender for foundation application is to pump my foundation out onto a pallet or onto the back of my hand, then use my Chanel Foundation Paddle Brush, to apply the product all over my face. Then I use my damp beauty blender to blend everything into the skin and make everything look seamless.

I love these sponges. I probably have around 20 in my draw and in my kit. I use them on everybody that I work on including myself. I have never had any complaints when I have used them. And they have also received my mother’s seal of approval which is sort after!

  2. I love love love the beauty blender. I was late on the band wagon, i've only had it for a couple of months but it's amazing. I like using it for concealer and once i've applied my foundation with a brush i go over it with the sponge.
