Top 10 Eyeshadows

I wanted to do another post in my top 10 series. This one is all about my favourite eyeshadows and you may have already guessed it but they are all MAC shadows. As much as I do love other eyeshadows, buying individual ones of them really upsets my OCD. I can’t have them looking messy in a draw and un-organisation makes my chest hurt.

When I buy MAC eyeshadows they all go into my pallet and are organised by gradient from light to dark and that makes me really happy to see!

So let get started with my top 10, these are in no particular order…

1)         Carbon
This is a matte shade and it is jet black. A black is always essential for smokey eyes or creating liner. It is just a must have shade.

2)         Cork
This is a satin shade and it is a nice light brown shade. I have a lot of transition shades because I find blending the most important thing. A really lovely shade.

3)         Mystery
Mystery is a really dark brown with a purple undertone to it. This is really similar to the Brun shade but just a touch deeper.

4)         Wedge
This is a mid-tone colour, a real cross between a taupe and a brown shade. It is a matte colour perfect for a smokey eye.

5)         All That Glitters
One of my favourite colours ever. This is a veluxe pearl shadow with pink and gold shimmer through it. Perfect colour for all over the lid.

6)         Woodwinked
Another favourite of mine is Woodwinked., this is a brown shade with gold reflects through it. This all over the eyelid on a smokey eye just looks stunning.

7)         Charcoal Brown
This is a muted brown colour, a matte texture and I like to use this all over my lid on a day to day bases, it just brings some depth to the eyes without it being too overpowering.

8)         Black Tied
A black with silver glitter through it. This is the perfect Christmas type shade because of the shimmer through it. The black shadow itself isn’t as pigmented as Carbon but it is a nice dark grey shade.

9)         Brule
This is a soft creamy beige colour. Applied all over the eyelid generously really makes the eyes look wider and brighter.

10)        Brun
I have gone through so many of these colour because I use them for everything. In the crease, on the eyelid, for my brows, absolutely everything!

That is, it for my top 10 eyeshadows. There is another top 10 post coming up soon so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for it. As always leave any comments below or drop me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

  2. This has reminded me that I really need to make my own MAC custom palette! I don't know why I've never done it before. The shades I chose would be so similar to yours, all about that smokey eye!
