My 5 Winter Fashion Must Haves

This time of year is easily my favourite season. I feel like everybody is obsessed with autumn or fall as it is known. I don’t know why but there is just something about getting in from work and it been dark, throwing my pyjamas straight on, cosying down with a film and lighting shit loads of candles that makes me love this time of year.

I love switching from blouses to knitwear, and getting to wear my abundance of boots. Anyway, in this post I am going to let you know what my 5 key fashion items are that I carry through into autumn and winter. So without further rambling, I will jump into it…

1)     Camel Colour Coat

This coat is just one of them things that is timeless. Camel colour coats are just something that will never go out of style. I am the coldest person that you could ever meet so even when I am at work I can be sat in my coat all day so this coat is just perfect. I love to wear it with all black, then I just throw this over my shoulders and it is just an instant style injection to my outfit.

2)     Black Ankle Boots

Through winter I live in ankle boots. I hate having cold feet, it is the worst feeling ever. So for a couple months my dolly style shoes get demoted and I finally get to bring out my boots. I do a lot of walking so I need a decent pair of boots. These ones that I got from ASOS are really great and have been great over the last year!

3)     Black Fedora

I don’t know what it is but in the colder months I just cannot be bothered to do my hair. It must be the darker mornings that make me seriously lack in energy but that is where this hat comes into play. I tend to just brush my hair through in a morning and then I will throw my hat on. Not to mention this fedora hat with a big coat just looks so winter ready and chic.

4)     Grey Thick Knit Scarf

In winter I feel completely naked without a scarf around my neck. I don’t know what it is but it just acts like a comfort blanket. This Topshop one is my definite favourite. I probably got this 6 years ago and it is still going strong. It is just an oversize thick knit and really does the job of warming me up!

5)     Slipper Socks

In the cooler months I live in slipper socks. Whenever I leave the house in autumn and winter I am in my boots so that I don’t get soggy feet. Because, come on, I live in the UK and there is a 90% chance that it will rain. Anyway, when I am sat at work, at home or even driving I will pop these on to keep my feet warm. As my dad used to say when I was little, if your feet are comfy and warm, you are comfy and warm all over!

I hope that you enjoyed this post about my must have 5 fashion items. I want you to leave below in the comments the items that you cannot live without at this time of the year!

  5. I do wish I had got a camel coloured coat, I got a brick shade instead but it doesn't go with all that much. I definitely need to invest in some good ankle boots though x
