What's In My Bag?

I love reading these blog posts and watching the YouTube videos just because I am such a nosey person. And seeing that other people are just as messy with their handbags as I am with mine makes me feel a little better about myself.

At the minute, I am using my old favourite Beatles bag. This bag is so reliable, I literally throw it around whether it be into my car or on my desk, it does take a hammering but it has always been great quality. So let’s get started…

1)             Cold and Flu Tablets

Working in an office that constantly has the air conditioning on, there are colds constantly been passed around from people. I also have the world's worst immune system, so I basically eat these like tic tac’s to try and fend off unwanted germs.

2)          Soap & Glory Hand Food

The honest reason for this is that I have old lady hands that dry out so easily and washing up liquid is far too abrasive for my delicate fingers. I have these things scattered all over, one on my desk, in my car and loads at home!

3)          Ray-Ban Aviators

Self-explanatory really, to either block out the sun or hide my monstrous dark circles on hungover mornings. I would say that I have worn them more to hide hungover eyes so people don’t see how much I am squinting!

4)          Dior Prescription Glasses

I am as blind as a bat. But I never wear these because I would rather give myself headache straining my eyes at my screen than wear my glasses. I have to carry them or my mum tells me off. You wouldn’t think that I’m 21 would you!

5)          Black Wallet

I am using this old wallet that I found in the back of my wardrobe. I have been going to a lot of festivals recently and I would never take my Mulberry wallet there. I think this is a cheap from River Island from years ago, but it does the job. The only thing inside it is my cards and a couple euros.

6)          iPod and Earphones

Music is my favourite thing in the entire world, I think I could survive fine without my iPhone but I need my iPod. I get a new iPod near enough every other year because I use and abuse mine so much, I live for music.

7)          Charging cable

This goes hand in hand with how much I need my iPod because I constantly kill the battery by listening to country music radio on the internet on it. Not to mention that my iPhone battery is getting to the point where it needs a little midday charge.

8)          Makeup Bag

I don’t carry much makeup but it is just everything I could need to avoid a full makeup meltdown. I carry a compact MAC crème foundation, just to top up if needs be. A powder brush and a translucent face powder. Duo eye glue, nothing winds me up than bad lashes. And finally, a shit load of lip care products because of my chapped lips.

9)          Broken Beatles Keyring

I went to pull the zip on this bag and this flew off, I can’t bring myself to bin it just because it says Beatles on it. I know that is really sad but I have a whole draw of things like this that is broken or just crap that I can’t bring myself to bin.

10)        Small Pouch with Spex in

Don’t laugh at me about this but I got this little plastic dog off my grandad when I was 2 years old and I have carried it with me everywhere I have gone for the last 20 years and I don’t plan on putting it down now. I didn’t have teddies or dolls when I was little I just had this tiny plastic dog!

11)        iPhone

Goes without saying really, I need this for personal use, work use and my blog. This is just always in my hand, I can do everything from my phone so it is so important that I have it with me at all times. I even have a spare iPhone in anticipation of this one dying on me through overuse!

12)        Car Keys

I have my car keys everywhere I go because I love driving. Even if I am only going 2 doors up I will go in my car because I am determined to get my money’s worth out of my car.

I know it isn’t a lot but it is all that I could ever need when I leave the house in a morning to keep me going!
I would love to hear from you and tell me what the weirdest thing is that you have ever found lurking in the bottom of my bag. I think for me it was a rice crispy bun. I took my 3-year-old cousin to a country fair, bought them a bun which I later discovered they had mushed into the lining of my bag!

  1. Mine is pretty similar! I always have shades, glasses, hand cream and my phone with all it's various accessories. I tend to carry powder too - shiny face problems!
