Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer vs Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

A few weeks ago, I posted my dupes blog post with high street products vs high-end products. I really enjoyed creating that blog post because it gave me a chance to rummage around in my makeup and have a good play with it. Not to mention that you guys really enjoyed reading it and I got some really good feedback from it!

Since I did that blog post I have been getting a good amount of comments and emails wanting to know the differences between the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Even though there are many similarities there are also some slight differences that really sets them apart. So, without any more keyboard rambling from me, let’s get started…

First up is the amount of product that you get with both of these items. With the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer you get 6.8ml. This is a pretty standard amount for a concealer to be around the 6-7 ml/g mark. In the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer you get 6g, again this is a pretty standard amount. Even though with the Nars you get an ever such a slightly less amount it is barely noticeable.

The way that these concealers are dispensed is exactly the same. Both of these concealers come in a tube with a doe foot applicator. This helps to apply the concealer exactly where you want the product. Neither of the doe-foot applicators are that soft or nice on the skin, but I guess that puts them on an even playing field.

The consistency of the products is where I see the biggest difference. The Nars Creamy Concealer is exactly as it says in the name, nice and creamy. I would say that the Maybelline is thinner in consistency than the Nars but it is still easily controllable thanks to the doe foot applicator. The Nars Creamy Concealer I would say has a medium consistency, quite thick but nowhere near in the same realms as something like the Tarte Creamy Concealer.

Now for the coverage of these products. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer I would say is a medium coverage. When I apply this underneath the eyes it certainly does brighten the areas but it doesn’t completely cover everything. But you do have to take into account that I do have quite a lot of darkness underneath my eyes. Now for the Nars Creamy Concealer, this stuff covers everything. I apply a small amount underneath my eyes and you cannot see anything through it. It is full coverage which makes it perfect for what I want.

One of my final points is the packaging. The Maybelline Fit Me concealer packaging is nothing special. Even though aesthetically it looks similar to the Nars packaging it just feels cheap. But I am not complaining because for the amount that the product cost I’m not expecting fancy packaging, but there is just nothing special about this concealer. As for the Nars Creamy Concealer I really do like the packaging. It is a very thick plastic tube with a matte rubber top and when I pick this up I just feel like I am using a luxurious product.

Finally, the price of these items. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is £5.99, which is incredible value for money for the quality of the product that you receive. The Nars however is £22, pretty expensive for a concealer but for what you get I would not think twice about spending that money. Even though with the Maybelline you get ever such slightly more product because of how creamy and full coverage the Nars concealer is it goes alot further.

I think both of these concealers are great is just comes down to what you are looking for. I personally will repurchase both of these concealers. Please leave me any comments below and let me know if you have tried anything that I have mentioned. I will also link below to any products that I mentioned in this post…
