Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

I hope you are all have a really lovely Saturday. I have been out shopping with my dad this morning and had some breakfast with him. Now I am just sitting down to do some work from home for the rest of the day. No rest for the wicked!

This post is all about the Urban Decay eyeshadow pallet. I went into my local Debenhams before Christmas looking for presents for people when I found myself at the Urban Decay counter. Naturally, this is where I tend to migrate towards!

Anyway, I had to buy some presents for my younger cousins. They are all at the stage where they’re experimenting with makeup and stealing all of mine so I thought I would get them something like the Naked palette because there are loads of great colours to play with.

Anyway, I was checking out and the woman at the counter who I actually studied with at college said that she had a palette that I would love. Then she got this out and showed it to me.

I bought it straight away because I loved it so much. Anyway, let’s just get into it…

This palette has 15 full size eyeshadows in. and I think I picked this up for about £35 so that to me is a bargain. Especially when you think that to create a MAC palette with individual eyeshadows it will set you back £150!

Now, onto the shades of the eyeshadows…

Midnight Rodeo

This is a taupe colour which looks stunning across the lids. It is a shimmer colour with a sheen to it because of the silver glitter throughout it. Amazing colour on the lid and in the crease.

This is a pink/lavender shade with a subtle gold sheen to it. I found this to be great in the crease for blending out other eyeshadows and making them look really seamless.

This is a really deep chocolate brown colour with a gold and bronze sheen to it. Really pretty all over the eyelid because of the shimmer catches the light and makes your eyes look wider and brighter.

Midnight 15

This is a silver champagne colour with a frosted finish. I found that when I was applying this shade all over my eyelid I did get a large amount of all out. So I would recommend spraying your brush with something like Fix + in order to get it to really stick.

A bright pink/fuchsia colour with a sheen to it. This is a very vibrant colour which I used like hell when I was the makeup artist at a Flashdance play!

M.I.A eyeshadow is a dark brown with copper undertones to it. It does have a sheen but there isn’t choppy glitter throughout it. Stunning colour, possibly one of my favourites!

This eyeshadow is a golden pearl colour which is a shimmery shade. Great for highlighting in the inner corner because it really widens the eyes and makes you look awake.

This is a bright metallic purple with blue running through it. I also find that it has a lavender sheen through it.

Ace is a dark charcoal grey shade with blue shimmer running through it. A very nice all over eyelid colour if you want a brighter colour to your smokey eye.

Flow Urban Decay eyeshadow is a warm peach colour with a frost finish. I love how this looks brushed all over the eyelid. I also like to use this to help blend in darker colour to the crease of the eyelid.

This is a really deep navy blue shade. It has a shimmer to it but no chunky glitter. Looks really nice when it is layered up with the shade Omen.

This is the best black out on the market. It is a matte finish without any shimmer or glitter in it. If you are doing liner, smoking out eyeshadow or putting this all over this genuinely is the best black eyeshadow out there. Minimal fall out as well which is what we need when doing a dark eye!

This Urban Decay eyeshadow is a bright bronze shade. This is my favourite tone in the whole palette. It has a bright sheen through it but no glitter. Similar to the MAC Woodwinked shade but much more metallic looking.

Deep End

This is a bright teal shimmery colour. It has a very blue base with a frosted finish. Personally not a shade that I would use but it is really beautiful.

Half Truth

Half Truth is a cool purple shade with a frosted finish. No glitter through this just shimmer. This looks really nice with blue eyes because it makes the blue pop.

Well that is all of the colours in this palette. Really beautiful palette especially if you are into shimmers and glittery shades. It has a great selection of neutrals in it and even great pops of colour.
