Seventeen High Drama Eyeliner Review

I have been using this eyeliner by Seventeen since dinosaurs were roaming the earth. Well maybe not, but it feels like it has been that long anyway. I can remember going to Boots one day with my nan, I was meant to be in school, but it was PE day and she always used to rescue me on them days. Anyway, she swung by my comprehensive school and took me shopping instead and that was the first thing that I bought this Seventeen High Drama Liquid Eyeliner. And it has been nothing but love ever since!

First thing I feel like I need to mention my nan because some people might think she is a little reckless for busting me out of school. You should know that my nan is the the most immaculate woman I have ever met, she is always so incredibly turned out and never has a hair out of place. She truly is a very classy lady. Not just that, she is the most fun person in the world. She used to save me from school, buy me alcohol when I was too young and she would run me all over the place. The reason why she bought me this Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner was because she was sick of seeing kohl all around my eyes, and I couldn't agree more with her!

I wish I could turn and say that I mastered the art of liquid liner the first time I applied it, but that would be a big fat lie. It looked horrendous for the first couple of months that I was using it. My eyeliner wings were wonky and the thickness would vary on each eye. It has defiantly been a labour of love trying to get them to look somewhat even. Even now I still have days where my eyeliner just looks like a joke!

Now I am at a place where 99% of the time I can confidently put on eyeliner without having to take it off and start again. At first when I made the transition from using a kohl eyeliner to a liquid eyeliner I was so nervous because I had more than just a couple mishaps, but now that I have it down to a fine art, I am loving it. One thing to know is that over the years I have tried many different liquid liners, ranging from Chanel, LancĂ´me and Make Up Forever and I have to say honestly that this is the one that I always go back to over and over again.

When I draw on my winged eyeliner I always start by drawing a standard thin line above my lash line, then from there I go onto create the wing. Then gradually I will go back in and make the line thicker until it is how I want it. I find that this Seventeen Eyeliner is so good due to the precision tip. it is so fine and pointed that it makes drawing a wing so easy. Essentially all you have to do is lay the top at the corner of your eye. Then it is just a case of joining up the dots.

Also, I have to mention how black this eyeliner is. I know it is pretty standard for liquid eyeliner to be black. But sometimes when they dry they can go a lighter shade. I wanted a really deep black colour and that is exactly what I get with this product. This Seventeen High Drama Eyeliner also dried really quickly and I found that it is perfect for use on brides and it stays all day and does not move, unless you want it to. You have to note though that this is not a waterproof product so it can run.

My favourite way to use this on brides is to create a very small and delicate winged look. Then I will take an eyeshadow such as typographic by MAC on a 212 brush, and gently smudge it out to give it a softer look and it works perfectly.

I know that this is always going to be in my makeup bag, without a shadow of a doubt. I never have any problems with this product, it always does the job exactly as I want it to. I recommend it to everybody!

I hope this helped you out if you are on the hunt for a new liner. if you have any questions please let me know on the comments and I will get back to you. or if you want to request a review I would be more than happy to do that!
