Foxy Locks Hair Extensions Review

Everybody that knows me, knows that I am crazy about hair. I was once got stopped by a little girl in the street who told me I had hair like a brunette version of Rapunzel from Tangled, and I still to this day think that was the best day of my life. Who doesn’t want to be compared to a princess?

I have always had very long hair. It grows like wildfire. I could have it cut to my shoulders in January then by December it is to my hips. I have always loved long hair and always had it. Except one year when I was 15 and I thought I would cut it all off. My dad begrudgingly took me to the hairdressers to have the chop. He thought I would chicken out at the last minute, but I didn't. I had it done, all chopped off. From past my bum into a bob. I momentarily loved it. Then I cried for days and had 2 days off until I could have extensions put in!

I have worn hair extensions pretty much ever since I foolishly did the chop. It is now 6 years on and I have tried so many different, brands, types and lengths of bonded and clip in hair extensions. The thing with my hair natural hair is is that even though I have a lot of hair and it is very long, it is also very thin. The longer my hair seems to get, the thinner it looks, and nobody wants to look like they have rats tails hair. I just like my hair to look really full and voluminous and that way it seems to hold a curl much better.

And it's because of that why I opt to wear clip in hair extensions. I don't do it for length as many people do, I do it to bulk up my hair and make it look a little thicker. Over the years I have tried out so many different brands of hair extensions from ones that are super cheap to others that are super expensive and I really put them though their paces. Personally, I have very curly hair, so each day that I wear my hair extensions I have to curl them and that really shows the true quality of the hair itself.

I first saw these hair extensions when my main girl Casey Holmes mentioned them on her YouTube channel. She wore them in a video and also has a coupon code which meant you got a free pair of eyelashes when you checked out, which completely sold me. I wonder why that is that something worth £3 for free can convince you to spend £300 on something. I am always a sucker for something free, I think most of us are like that!

However back to the review of these Foxy Locks hair extensions… From the moment that I received these hair extensions in the mail, I was in love with them. I did have to buy 2 packets of the Foxy Locks 280g 24" Luxurious Hair Extensions to make them match up properly with my hair so that it blends flawlessly. I knew that I needed 2 packets of hair extensions from when I have previously had pre-bonded hair extensions. For most people I am sure that one packet of these Foxy Locks hair extensions would be more than enough.

After hell of a lot of trial and error with various brands over the years I feel that with Foxy Locks I have finally found that  these hair extensions really show their quality after they are washed for the first time. I have had extensions before that have been perfect for the first few weeks then after the first wash they go dry and start to split, or they retain so much product they go so greasy they are unwearable. And, I think it is easy to see from the picture above just how much of a difference they make to my hair when I wear them.

I found that these Foxy Locks hair extensions wash like an absolute dream. When I was these, I take them in the shower with me and I wash them just as I do my normal hair. I like to use the L'Oreal Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner and it is incredible and it always leaves my hair and extensions feeling amazing. Then every now and again, I will put a masque on my hair to try and get it incredibly soft and nourished. Then when the hair extensions are all washed I will lay them out to dry on a towel by the radiator. I always find that the best thing to do is to let them dry naturally so not to dry them out or damage them.

I honestly love these extensions and these by Foxy Locks have been so incredibly and I know for a fact that when these go up to the hair extension palace in the sky where hair extensions go to die, I will definitely going to be buying some more.

  1. Really love this review and the dark brown looks gorgeous! I have the same problem, 280g of 24" would not be enough for me, especially because the luxurious set has only 6 pieces that's not enough to layer through my hair, I usually wear about 400g of hair. These look great on you though and they look so thick. I had foxy locks before, about 2 years ago, mine went dry quite quickly and didn't look this healthy, I think it might be because they were the platinum blonde colour so already heavily processed. You've definitely inspired me to look up foxy locks again in the future though, now I have darker hair.
