My Favourite Christmas Movies

I am a massive lover of movies. I always have been since I was a little girl. When I used to go around to my dad’s house it is all we would do at a weekend. My sister was older and didn’t want to spend time with me and dad so it was just us, and we would always watch films. There was a video shop at the bottom of his street so when he used to pick me up, he would take me in there on a Friday night and I would pick about 5 films for us to watch.
Since then, my love affair with movies has just continues. Now on my iTunes I own about 500 movies. I like to have them on iTunes and not a physical DVD because of my OCD, I cannot handle having loads of boxes and disks everywhere. Plus, then I can watch them on my phone, iPad, MacBook and on my Apple TV and I love it when everything syncs up!

Giving Back At Christmas

When I was 6 years old, me and my family went away for a few nights just before Christmas and when we returned home on Christmas Eve, we had been robbed. Everything had gone. And when I say everything, I really do mean everything. Even the light bulbs had been taken from the fittings. It looked like the house had never been lived in. Something like that so close to Christmas was just horrific. It really did crush my mum and dad, not only being robbed of everything that they had ever owned, but not having any presents for me and my sister.

It was horrific at the time but the way that people rallied around us was incredible and it just helped me to realise that there are good people out there. You cannot deny that there are some bastards out there, but there are also some good souls. Everybody at some point in their life will have a hard time and need help off another person, and Christmas time always reminds me of that and how kind people were to us when we really needed it.

What I Look Forward To At Christmas

I feel like there is always so much to look forward to at Christmas time. I look forward to Christmas all year long and as soon as it is all over and I have to go back to work I get a serious case of the January blues. As I get older I feel like I am appreciating it more and more. A couple years ago, I was a full on grumpy teenager about it all and it didn’t really bother me. But, now that we have young children in the family and I am working hard throughout the year I really do cherish the time that I get to have with my loved ones around Christmas.

So, in this post I am going to be letting you know the things that I am most looking forward to this Christmas time. I am really lucky in the fact that I get 2 full weeks off work at Christmas and I crave them by this time of year when I have only had a little bit of time off here and there, so I am literally dragging myself to the finish line at this point. Anyway, on with the post…

My November Favourites

Even though we are on the run up to Christmas, I still wanted to do my usual favourites post. I have done one of every single month since I started my blog, so December is going to be no different. In this post, there is a lot of new products, and some that just work really well with my skin at this time of the year when I am hell of a lot dryer and just feeling a little drab.
I can see these things been my staples right through the whole month because I have really been loving using them and how they make me look and feel. I will admit right here that most of them are high end, but I wouldn’t include them in this post if I didn’t genuinely think that they were worth the money that I paid for them.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my last favourites post of 2017 and without any more rambling, I will jump into the post…

How I Get Into The Christmas Spirit

This year I already seem to be well and truly in the Christmas spirit. For the longest time, I have been a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. I think I have only started to really enjoy it since I started work and I treasure them two full weeks off that I get at the end of December. I know Christmas is about much more than time off work, but it is a massive bonus. Not to mention that with how hard this year has been for me, I am going to try and make the most out of Christmas this year!
But sometimes, when I am feeling a little overworked and stretched finely, I do find it hard to get myself into the mood to be Christmassy when all I want to do is flop in bed and not get back out again until it is spring. So, I thought for first post in December, I would write you a post and let you know what I do to get in the Christmas spirit!

How To Declutter Your Wardrobe!

In the early days of starting my blog I always intended for it to be centred around both makeup and fashion. Since then fashion has taken a backseat and it has just been all about beauty. Over the next few months I want to start introducing more fashion posts into my blog. I love fashion and it has always been one of my passions, right up there with makeup, so it is about time that it takes a step forward.
I own far too many clothes, handbags and shoes. I buy high-end handbags, shoes and accessories, then I buy most of my clothes from the high-street with a couple of exceptions. I like doing it this way because then I can buy my expensive classic handbags and shoes, but still keep up to date on the latest trends with my outfit choices.
This post is all about how I declutter my wardrobe. I buy loads of clothes on a very regular basis, so I always make sure that I have clear outs. I just think that you can’t hold onto everything forever, so I am very cut throat when it comes to binning or donating some of my clothes. I have struggled with it in the past, so I thought that I would share my wisdom and hopefully encourage some people to let go of things that they no longer need!

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Savage Rose Review

Here we go with another review of a Charlotte Tilbury. I can imagine that you are all probably sick of how much I mention Charlotte Tilbury here on my blog, but I am still obsessed with all of her makeup range. I was browsing around House of Fraser day and I was loitering around the Charlotte Tilbury makeup stand, just because it is so stunning and vintage looking that I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I decided that it was about time that I invested in another Lip Cheat. At the moment, I only have one by her and it is the iconic Pillow Talk Lip Cheat, so I thought that I was well overdue treating myself to a new one.
This is going to be a pretty short review, because there is only so much that you can say about a lip liner, but I thought it was definitely worth a mention. The reason that I wanted to try another Lip Cheat by Charlotte Tilbury was just because of how much I loved the Pillow Talk one. Anybody who knows me or has followed my blog for quite a while, they will know that I love my MAC lip liners and I have been using them for years now, but since using these Lip Cheats, nothing seems quite as good as these, even the shine has gone off my MAC lip liners.
