Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder Review

I have the world's thinnest hair in the whole and entire world. My hairdresser always says that I have hell of a lot of hair on my head, but the hair that I do have is quite thin and fine. If I was to wash my hair and just leave it to dry it would be flat to my head like a pancake, no matter what I have tried over the years, nothing really seems to work for me. Then my hairdresser who is also my cousin told me to try this Bumble and Bumble Pret-A-Powder, so I bought it from Boots and I thought I would let you know what I thought about it.

When it comes to how thin my hair is, I will try just about anything to get it to look fuller and thicker. Whether it is volumizing shampoos, drying my hair upside down, back combing, trust me when I say that I have tried just about everything. As much as I wanted to try this out when she first mentioned it to me, the £23 price tag did put me off a little for something that may or may not work. In the end, I decided just to go for it and I have been loving it ever since.

My Foundations of the Week

I have so many foundations in my collection, so many so that in a morning it can be a task in itself just to pick which foundation to wear. When I think about it, I wear a different foundation, pretty much every single day of the week. Even though I have my favourite foundations, I like to mix it up. Different foundations seem to look better when paired with certain products, so depending on what kind of look I am wanting to achieve, I will reach for different foundations. I saw a post similar to this on another blog (sorry, I can’t remember who or I would have linked), and I just thought that it is such a great idea and I definitely wanted to try my hand at it.

Like I said, I have so many different foundations in my collection. I would much rather buy a foundation over any other type of makeup. I just love how a foundation can completely transform your face and give you so much more confidence. When I peer into my draw where I keep all of my foundations, I cannot help but feel a little guilty about how much money is just sat there, but I cannot deny that I adore every single one of them. Anyway, without any more rambling on, here is my week in foundations…

Why I've Fallen Out With YouTube

I have wanted to write this post for quite some time, I just wasn’t sure how I should go about. Every time I sat down to write this post, I ended up deleting everything and starting again, through fear that I would offend people. I don’t want to be disrespectful to people, that isn’t what this post is about. This also isn’t about smaller YouTubers that are trying to turn their hand to making incredible videos, this is more aimed at the bigger YouTubers that have been around for years. When I was younger, one of my favourite things to do was to sit down and watch countless YouTube videos, one after the other. Nowadays, it is more of a chore to sit down and watch people, and the fun seems to have gone from the good old days of YouTube. Anyway, I thought in this post, I would share with you, some of the reasons why I have fallen out with YouTube.

One of my main issues with it now on a whole is how little people post, again this is aimed at some of the big time YouTubers that have been doing this for years. You are lucky if some of them upload every fortnight and that is at a push. I’m not denying that isn’t the case for everybody, but for hell of a lot of them it is. I go on Snapchat when I get in from work and I watch people’s stories and you see them dragging their ass out of bed at 10am, talking about how busy they are and that they have meeting and are rushed off their feet. But all they seem to do all day is fuck all. I’m not denying that they may have tons going on behind the scenes. But when you see them sat in their huge houses, lounging around, after you’ve been at work busting a gut all day, I have to admit that it really does rub me up the wrong way.

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cream Palette Review

I cannot believe that I am sat here at my desk writing a blog post about this Tom Ford palette. This has been on my wishlist for so many years and when I say year, I really do mean years. I can remember seeing this on blogs so many years ago and I really wanted to try it out. Back then though, I didn’t have the luxury of being able to spend this much on one item of makeup, so it sat on my wishlist for many years. But as some of you will know, I have been trying out hell of a lot more by Tom Ford and I have been loving it, so I thought that it was finally time to treat myself to this stunning Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cream Palette.
Now, before people start to jump down my throat, I know that Tom Ford is a really expensive brand. I don’t do these posts to brag to other people that I have money, I just do them to let you guys know what they are honestly like, in case you were thinking of buying this. I know that I have uploaded quite a few Tom Ford items over the past few months but that is just because I really love the products and I think that they perform really well. Before I go into every single high-end purchase I always make sure that I do lots of research beforehand and if I don’t think that it will work for me, then I simply wouldn’t buy it.

A Little Life Update

It has been such a long time since I did a life update for you guys, it may have actually been as far back as October last year, which is just crazy. I usually like to try and upload these posts every couple of months just to keep you guys up to date on what is going on in my life away from my blog. I think just by being so busy towards the end of 2017, Blogmas and then really struggling to get back into the swing of things in January. I just wanted to wait until I did another update post, until I was back into some form of good routine, so sat here on this very dull and miserable Tuesday morning, it seems as good a time as any to do a life update post.
Trying to get back into my routine
Once I am out of my routine I really struggle to get back into the swing of things. After having two full weeks off work at Christmas, I am still finding the early mornings hard. I am not a lazy person and I have always been an early riser, but once you break that routine, getting up at 6am when it is pitch black outside is one of the hardest things in the world. I am praying that I settle back into things again soon because I cannot be dealing with how stressed, tried and mardy I have been over the past couple of weeks.

My January Favourites!

I cannot quite believe that I am sat here writing my first favourites post of 2018 already. January just seemed to fly by within the blink of an eye. As much as I love getting two weeks off from work at Christmas, it also kills me trying to get back into a routine. Who know that just two weeks can completely ruin a routine that you have been in for a whole year. January for me was just a month of trying to catch up. I was getting back into the flow of working and this is always the busiest time of year for me, I work in marketing so hell of a lot of work has to go into our catalogues, promotions and advertisements for the whole year in January. And with my blog, I have been trying to come up with a plan that is easy for me to work to and keep me on the right track. You may have noticed from the past couple of weeks but now I only post a couple times a week to try and ease the load.
With regards to my beauty favourites for January, I didn’t really get around to try many new things this month. I mentioned in my New Year’s Resolutions post last week that this year I am going to try and be quite strict when it comes to spending money and I still stand by that. As a matter of fact, I didn’t buy any new makeup products for the whole of January, which I don’t think has ever happened before. Attempting this spending ban has actually spurred me on to look in my own collection a little more and find the gems that I already have in there. Anyway, without any more rambling no, I will get back jump into my January Favourites…

Huda Beauty Lashes in Samantha Review

If you have been following my blog for some time, you may know that this isn’t my first pair of Huda Beauty Lashes. A couple years ago I bought a pair in the style Scarlett, because after seeing them online, I thought they would be incredible. But, when I got them through, I realised that they were far more dramatic than I ever wanted, the band was far too thick, and they didn’t sit well on my eyes. I did a post all about them at the time, but I have to say that it wasn’t in particular glowing. From them on, I decided just to stick to my drugstore Ardell lashes and be done with higher end eyelashes. That was until I saw these on special offer back in December and I had to buy them!
I decided this time around to give them a try in the style Samantha. These Samantha lashes seemed much more natural and fluttery in comparison to the Scarlett lashes that I had tried out before, so I thought these would sit much better and hopefully look somewhat normal. When I got these through the post, the first thing I noticed was that stunning Huda Beauty Packaging. I am sure that over the years, everybody has seen her false eyelash packaging, it is just such an iconic item. Then, when I flipped that over, I could not deny that the eyelashes themselves, looked absolutely stunning!
