Products Worth The Splurge

These past few months I have been buying makeup like a crazy woman. Well, I guess when I actually think about it I have been buying everything. Last year I literally saved all year long and didn’t spend a penny, so this year I have decided to treat myself a little bit.

So, I have had a lot of new makeup that I have been playing with recently and I have got some new favourites. I thought that I may as well try and help people out by wasting/spending my money on so much makeup by letting you know what is the best of the best. This post is all about what products I think are worth the splurge, so these are all higher end products that I am loving right now…

Lilly Lashes in Mykonos Review

I cannot believe that I splurged on these lashes. I paid £30 for these which almost breaks me out into a sweat just typing it. I can remember when I said to my other half that I had just paid that much for a pair of false eyelashes he nearly died, honestly I think his heart stopped for a minute. He thought it was bad enough when I paid £15 for a pair of Huda Beauty ones.

Anyway, let’s move away from the price just for a moment. I bit the bullet and bought the Lilly Lashes in the style Mykonos. I have been looking at these eyelashes for absolutely ages but just couldn’t justify spending that much money. It was one night after a glass of wine that I reached for the iPad and placed an order. It wasn’t until the next morning when I was scrolling through my emails I saw that I had bought them. I was happy about it until I remembered the price.

Three Products To Try Now!

I seem to be buying so much makeup recently. I don’t know what it is but it seems like my addiction has gotten out of control. For the longest time I have been adamant about saving money and stopped myself from buying makeup, so now I am going wild.

Even though whenever I have been buying new makeup I have been uploading review on my blog I wanted to do you a post and let you know what I think has been the best of the best. So if you told me that you were going out to buy new makeup, these are the items that I would highly recommend because I have been loving them!

All of these items that I am going to mention have worked really well for me. So bear in mind that I have pretty normal skin but around my nose it can be quite oily. I just want to say that because these products were good for me, they may not necessarily work for you!

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk Review

I have wanted to get this Lip Cheat by Charlotte Tilbury for so long. All you hear about whether it be on blogs or on YouTube is about Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury. It is just such a cult classic product and it has been on my list to get for the longest time.

I don’t know what it was that put me off buying this for so long, I think I was just waiting for me to put a big haul in on the Charlotte Tilbury website. But then I knew I wanted to put a big order in and this was the first thing that I added to my cart, because I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I needed it.

When I got this Lip Cheat through the post with the rest of the order it was easy to see why the product was worth this much money. I think this was £16 for the Lip Cheat alone, which for a lip liner is pretty expensive but for the quality and the appearance of this, I think it is well worth it.

Life Lately

I thought that it was about time that we had a little catch up here on my blog. I feel like I am super busy recently and that I don’t have two minutes to myself and to be honest I feel quite disconnected from my blog and the lovely people who read it, so to me this is a perfect time to do a life lately kind of post and catch you guys up on what I have been doing.
Firstly, work has been crazy lately. For those who don’t know I am a marketing executive and as much as I love my job and I honestly don’t see myself working in any other kind of position, it can be pretty stressful. I work close with the directors and at the minute I have a lot on my plate. I feel like it comes in waves, one moment everything is calm and fine, then the next it is mental and I am struggling to stay above ground with it.
Obviously, with full time job needs to come before everything else and when I have been getting in from work I have been shattered and just been super lazy, which is why I think I am feeling a slight disconnect from my blog. To try and stay consistent with my uploading I have been pre-writing and scheduling in my blog posts which is great, it just means that I can get a little lost and forget where I’m at with my blog, and the inner control freak in me really doesn’t like that.

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Very Victoria

I am sure this isn’t my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick post here on my blog. These lipsticks have just made me fall in love with them. I have been using them now for the longest time and each time I use them I just like them even more.

There is something about these lipsticks whether it be the product inside or the packaging I just get drawn towards them. I have tried so many of them now and so many different shades and ranges and I am still yet to find one that doesn’t live up to my extremely high expectations!

So when I saw a deep neutral shade I knew that I had to own it. I have said before on here that I am always on the hunt for the perfect natural shade for my lips because I am not a nude lips kind of girl and I think I may have found it with this Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in the shade Very Victoria.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer vs Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

This post is pegging my two favourite concealers against each other. This is going to be a hard one because I love them both so much that I don’t want to critique any of them but I will do it for the good of the blog post!

As you may know I suffer with my dark circles so I hoard concealers like they are going out of fashion. I love concealer and how it can just completely transform the face. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and the Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealers have both been the top of my collection for such a long time, so I thought I would give you a little more info on them both…

First up I want to start with the amount of product that you get in both of these concealers. With the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer you get 6ml. With the Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer, you get 5ml. So the Nars does have 1ml more but at the end of the day who would notice 1ml. So I would say for this score hey are on an even playing field.
